Aaronson refers to a paper by Stephen Wiesner Wpaper that was published in 1983 although apparently a draft was written around 1970. ![]() ![]() An example of this belief is Peres’ dictum “these things were known to those that know things well” Ppaper or the recent, partly humoristic, assertion by mathematician Scott Aaronson in his blog Ablog “if you want to become immortal, just find some fact that everyone already knows and give it a name!”. It is believed that somehow everybody secretly knew that quantum information cannot be copied.
